Our Goal

To raise enough money to purchase an available building that is adjacent to our current VFW property. The cost of the building, renovations and grounds is $300,000.

The building is 40’x108’ with multiple sliding doors that will provide easy access for all the planned activities and services that will be offered.

Our second option is to construct a building on our current VFW Wind Lake Memorial site.

How can you help?

By making a donation that would allow the VFW Post 8343 to own our first Veteran owned hall in Wind Lake.

All donations are completely tax deductible. All donors will receive a thank you letter that can be used at tax time.

** Rest assured, 100% of donations will go towards our goal of creating a place for Veterans to call home in their community.

VFW Post 8343 will create a place where our veterans can feel welcomed in the community. A place for them to get together to talk, share stories, or seek counseling.

Each and every one of us has a family member or knows of someone who has served our country. This is a way to give back to them for all they have sacrificed for us.

Facts:

WWII Vets are passing away at a rate of 1,000 per day
Korean & Vietnam Vets are passing away at a rate of 395 per day
Most alarming of all is that vets from Iraq & Afghanistan between the ages of 18–24 are taking their own lives at the rate of 22 vets per day. Let’s show them your support and provide veterans a place to call their own.
